Job Description

Geotemps, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician I for a client based in the Elko area. The Maintenance Technician I will be working at a hospital based facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, be willing to learn, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, and foster positive relationships with all members of the work environment.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assisting with repairs on electrical equipment, machinery, buildings, and facilities including painting, plastering, carpentry, and plumbing.
Assisting with repairs and overhaul of pumps and heat exchangers; removing and replacing coils; replacing valves and assisting as directed with equipment on steam systems or boilers.
Assisting with the operation and helping to maintain boilers; observing various meter and gauges and taking appropriate action for safe operation.
Conducting scheduled maintenance checks; prioritizing repair and maintenance work to minimize disruption of hospital operations.
Completing duties as assigned from hospital work order system and completing assigned PM (Preventative Maintenance) work within timeframes designated.

Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will have the ability to assess a variety of complex situations and determine the most effective means to resolve situations. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Education/Experience: Certificate from college or technical school, or 1+ years related experience preferred, but not required.

Compensation: 25-30$/hour DOE.
