Mechanical Engineering Internship

Aerzen is a global blower and compressor manufacturer and solution provider specializing in engineered low pressure air delivery solutions. This role will be an introduction to industrial rotating equipment and mechanical design/manufacturing engineering best practices. Team Members in this position will work with members of the engineering team to develop conceptual and final design solutions for various applications and assist in manufacturing engineering activities. Tasks will include 2D and 3D CAD, component and product specification review and selection, and interfacing with enterprise resource management software.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Perform design calculations, risk analysis and root cause failure analysis
- Generate drawings (fabrication, general arrangement, instrumentation, etc.) and bills of materials using AutoCAD, Inventor and Enterprise Resource Planning Software
- Review & develop technical product specifications for blower and compressor stage components, packages and accessories
- Develop product and engineering knowledge by participating in team design activities, training opportunities, reading industry publications; networking; participating in professional organizations
- Follow Aerzen USA's ISO 9001 design process.
