BIM Manager

We are searching for a BIM Manager in our Raleigh or Indianapolis studio. The purpose of this position is to develop and support firm wide corporate BIM initiatives and provide support to BSA LifeStructures design teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement and manage BIM improvements to efficiency and standardization.
  • Work with disciplines to develop and maintain BIM resources, content, and standards.
  • Develop and support automation improvements and other design related technologies to aid the design process for disciplines.
• Support disciplines through training staff on design tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Create and deliver training content including posts, manuals, and curriculum to improve firmwide knowledge and expertise.
  • Assist with the implementation of BIM Execution Plans on projects.
  • Encourage and monitor model health best practices across the firm.
  • Advocate for BIM culture and best practices to solve discipline needs.
  • Train disciplines on emerging technologies such as VR/AR/XR and support use on projects.
• Assist design teams with technical BIM issues and troubleshooting.
  • Responsible for timely responses to design team support requests.
  • Collaborates with IT to resolve complex Design Technology issues on projects, updating software, and deploying solutions.
  • Ensure that all design related technology software and hardware are functioning properly and benefiting the company.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the project teams and designated BIM coordinators.
• Constantly assesses and, when applicable, suggests improvements for processes.
• Promote company reputation through good client and vendor relations.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

• Management: Ability to manage, organize, and maintain BIM/Design technology related content
• Computer skills required: Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Google: Mail, Calendar, Drive, Apps, Autodesk AEC Building Suite (primarily Revit platform)
  1. Proficient with: Autodesk AEC Building Suite (Primary Revit Platforms), BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud, Matterport camera
  2. Knowledge of: Revit API, Clarity, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, NavisWorks, Rhino, Lieka Scanner equipment, Visualization applications (Enscape, Twinmotion, and Lumion)
  3. Preferred experience with computational design applications such as Dynamo and Grasshopper; development tools such as C#, Python and Autodesk Platform Services

Education/Experience Requirements

• Technical degree or Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
• 5-10 years experience in architecture, engineering, or construction related industry.
• 5 years experience with BIM technology
