Essential Key Functions and Accountabilities: (Responsibilities and major tasks performed)

  • Lead the process to select, verify, prepare, and ship products to the required destination to meet the shipment schedule.
  • Select most cost-effective and quality transportation carrier to ship product to customers and subcontractors by specified date.
  • Verify and receive incoming shipments, ensuring that the packing slip matches the physical product delivered; resolving all discrepancies with shipper and/or trucking company.
  • Assure that accurate and complete ASN's ( Advance Shipping Notice) are sent at the time of shipment for customer's requiring them
  • Assure the process for proper storage, protection, and identification of materials.
  • Prepare required items for shipment as required per premium freight request. Gather and compute premium freight costs and report to specified associates.
  • Complete invoicing process for all outbound shipments to customers (internal and subcontractors) at the time of shipment.
  • Maintain or develop required shipping & receiving records (e.g., packing slips/releases, bills of lading, invoices, etc.) for specified time period.
  • Assure that all outgoing product is properly packaged and labeled to customer specifications
  • Define, order and maintain optimal inventory levels of shipping and receiving department supplies.
  • Maintain and find root cause to Receiver discrepancy report
  • Resolve Inventory Inaccuracy Issues including on hand, wip, received, shipped.
  • Give daily direction through low level supervision to the floor associates, including huddles, overtime, and training. This role of Administrator is to develop associates that have demonstrated they are ready for other higher-level roles.
