Entry Level Process Safety Chemical Engineer - Oak Ridge, TN

Process Engineering Associates, LLC (PROCESS) is currently seeking entry level chemical engineers to perform services in the area of petroleum refining, petrochemical plant, and chemical plant process safety consulting services for our headquarters in Oak Ridge, TN.

Assignments will include developing process safety information (e.g., safe operating limits, P&IDs, PFDs, maximum intended inventories), developing operating procedures and training materials, etc. Additional assignments may include assisting with HAZOP type meeting preparation, meeting scribing, post-meeting report documentation, use of commercial process safety documentation software, etc. PROCESS will provide mentoring and training in all aspects of this type of work. Entry level personnel will be paired with other more experienced engineers and/or participate on larger project teams that involve a number of more experienced engineers.

Duties will require significant travel (50% or more) both within the U.S. and occasionally to international plant sites. Prior plant operations experience (CO-OP, etc.) is a plus but not required. Opportunities may exist for advancement into process design related work in the future. An outgoing, self-motivated personality is a requirement. Strong communication skills (both written and oral) are essential. Pay rate will be based on qualifications and experience.
