Quality Inspector I

What you’ll do:

• Assist the Manager of the Quality department in implementing and maintaining the quality management system
• Train personnel in manufacturing and quality to build quality awareness
• Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive action for process, product, internal, and external customer concerns
• Interface with Quality and Production Departments in auditing the injection and manufacturing processes to ensure quality expectations are met
• Support Quality Inspectors by programming the inspection routines in the available equipment to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system
• Conduct audits, assist in closing out audit findings, create audit-finding reports, and determine proper corrective and preventive actions
• Assist the Quality Coordinator and Quality Manager to prepare PPAP packages according to customer-specific requirements
• Assist in the managing of engineering samples and quality-controlled part shipment for under-development and non-approved processes
• Learn to use available inspection equipment and instrumentation
• Perform other duties as assigned

What we’re looking for:

• Technical degree in quality or equivalent experience
• 3 years minimum experience
• Technical knowledge of quality management systems, auditing, and quality systems
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literate including software programs
• Analytical/problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented
• Ability to take on a leadership role
• Works well under pressure
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Possess a sense of urgency while performing tasks accurately
