Job Description

Our growing company is looking for a hard-working and skilled construction worker to help bring our company goals to life! As a Journeyman Carpenter specializing in residential remodeling, you will play a vital role in transforming homes by executing high-quality carpentry work. Working alongside other skilled laborers and tradesmen, your knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment will help to keep the project on track. You will work on a variety of remodeling projects, from kitchen and bathroom renovations to whole-house transformations, utilizing your expertise to bring clients' visions to life with precision and craftsmanship. Compensation:

$25 - $29 hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Carpentry Work: Execute all aspects of carpentry work involved in residential remodeling projects, including framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, door and window installation, and custom woodworking.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret and follow construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation of design plans.
  • Material Selection and Procurement: Assist in selecting appropriate materials and supplies for each project, ensuring compatibility with design requirements and budget constraints. Procure materials as needed, maintaining inventory levels and tracking usage.
  • Precision Measurements: Take precise measurements and make accurate cuts to ensure a proper fit and finish for all carpentry installations.
  • Structural Integrity: Ensure the structural integrity and stability of all carpentry work, adhering to building codes and safety standards.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, including project managers, subcontractors, and clients, to coordinate project timelines and deliverables.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process, employing creative problem-solving techniques to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain a high standard of quality in all carpentry work, conducting thorough inspections and addressing any deficiencies promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on the job site, promoting a culture of safety among team members and subcontractors.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily progress reports, material usage, and any deviations from the original plan.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a carpenter, with a focus on residential remodeling projects.
  • Carpentry Skills: Proficiency in all aspects of carpentry, including framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, and finish carpentry. Experience with custom woodworking is a plus.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to residential construction.
  • Tools and Equipment: Proficient in the use of carpentry tools and equipment, including power saws, drills, nail guns, and measuring devices. Own tools and reliable transportation are required.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship, with a focus on producing high-quality workmanship and precise installations.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently to keep projects on track and within budget.
  • Physical Stamina: Good physical condition with the ability to perform tasks that require manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
  • Safety Consciousness: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for oneself and others, with knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices.\
