We are a family-owned boutique periodontal practice who works with dentists throughout the El Paso area to address our patient's specific periodontal and dental implant needs. Our team of board-certified periodontists and implant surgeons have extensive training and years of experience in the treatment of periodontal diseases, periodontal plastic surgery and reconstructive dental implant surgery. We specialize in sedation dentistry and will make every effort to ensure our patients have the best experience possible. **Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Dental Assistant to join our periodontal practice. We are a family-owned 3 doctor practice. The Surgical Assistant will work alongside our periodontists to provide high-quality patient care. We are looking to invest in an assistant to join our practice for a long-term full time position.

**Duties:**

- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by handing them instruments and supplies

- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all equipment is sterile and ready for use

- Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery and provide assistance as needed

- Perform patient assessments before and after surgery to ensure proper care

- Maintain accurate dental documentation of procedures and patient information

- Assist with dental imaging such as X-Rays, Intraoral scanning, CBCT imaging for surgical planning

**Experience:**

- Previous experience in surgical dental assisting or a related field is required (CDA or RDA)

- Active Texas Dental Assisting License is required

- Knowledge of dental terminology, coding, and documentation

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting

- Bilingual: Spanish and English - recommended
