Die Maintenance Lead

The primary responsibilities of the Die Maintenance Leader will be

• Assist in minimizing equipment and die downtime within a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
• Contribute to the development and execution of die maintenance and enhancement initiatives.
• Provide support for die-related issues during weekends and shutdown periods.
• Participate in the training of fellow die associates.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on short and long-term projects.
• Conduct machine checks, perform preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshoot production line issues, and report problems and solutions.
• Employ calipers, micrometers, and various gauges to assess production components.
• May receive training to operate a forklift.
• Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols.
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental policies.
• Address die downtime and recovery challenges promptly.
• Monitor dies for potential issues and take proactive measures.
• Enhance die quality and operational efficiency.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance plans and tasks.
• Confirm the quality of completed work.
• Conduct zone inspections.
• Perform comprehensive troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including process water controls.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with at least one (1) year of experience as a Die maintenance technician.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Competent in using hand and power tools.
• Familiar with safety, quality, and environmental policies.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
• Skilled in analyzing die and process issues and implementing repairs and corrective actions for hydraulic cylinder problems.
• Possesses mechanical aptitude.
• Capable of welding and applying hard finishes.
