Senior Accountant/Tax Preparer

Our Client is a full-service public accounting firm with offices in Nassau & Suffolk Counties, provides quality services and insight that continue to support the growth of our client's businesses.
Working directly with clients to gather information and documents and resolve audit inquiries, you will manage project resources to ensure timely completion of audits, oversee junior staff, implement improvements to existing processes and develop and cultivate professional client relationships.
Qualifications:
Accountant with 2-5 years' experience in a public accounting firm
CPA designation a plus, but not required
Preparation and review of monthly/quarterly accounting closings on QuickBooks
Preparation and review of year-end tax closings and adjusting entries
Preparation of business and individual income tax returns with varying levels of complexities, including multi-state tax returns. These returns may include 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 990, as well as others
Perform tax research and various special projects
Preparation and review of sales tax and payroll tax returns
Tax planning and tax projections
