Business Analyst

Job Summary:

Daiwa Capital Markets Americas (DCMA) has created a new team to drive a continuous improvement culture within the organization, and we are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join us. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for capturing, analyzing and improving end-to-end workflows and business processes across the organization to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability. You will work closely with stakeholders and team members to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions to simplify the environment and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to understand business objectives, process requirements, and pain points.
• Conduct interviews to build current state end-to-end workflows of business processes and identify opportunities for process reengineering and improvement.
• Develop process improvement plans, define KPIs and metrics to measure process outcomes and track progress.
• Perform cost-benefit analysis of process improvement options and provide recommendations to DCMA's management.
• Provide consulting services to internal clients on business process improvement and change management.
• Develop executive-level communications and reports to convey process improvement results and initiative status.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new processes, policies, and procedures.
• Work with technology teams to develop realistic business requirements for software and system improvements, as needed.
• Facilitate training and provide guidance to team members on new processes and procedures.
• Drive for a continuous improvement culture within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in business process reengineering, process improvement, and/or analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and quantify process improvement opportunities.
• Experience with KPIs, metrics, and other tools to measure and track business process outcomes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with process mapping, process modeling, and/or process simulation tools a plus.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
