Job description

The Capital Markets Analyst will play a key role in supporting the development, structuring, and execution of Kapitus' capital markets strategy across transaction execution, investor engagement, and ongoing deal management. This role will support capital markets transactions, including securitizations, warehouse facilities, and forward flow structures, while partnering closely with internal stakeholders across FP&A, Risk, Legal, Treasury, and Financial Data. The Capital Markets Analyst will contribute to transaction execution, financial modeling, and investor communications while gaining broad exposure to structured finance, capital markets strategy, and new product initiatives.

What you will do:

  • Assist in the structuring and execution of capital raising activities, including securitizations, warehouse facilities, and forward flow transactions
  • Support the development and maintenance of financial and cash flow models used to evaluate funding structures, pricing, leverage, and returns
  • Analyze collateral performance and portfolio trends to support transaction execution and funding strategy
  • Assist in preparing investor materials and participate in investor, bank, and rating agency discussions and diligence processes
  • Help monitor existing facilities, including covenant compliance, borrowing base reporting, and performance tracking
  • Generate repeatable analytics workflows and support ongoing data analysis initiatives
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Risk, Legal, Treasury, and Data teams to support transaction execution
  • Contribute to evaluation of funding structures, investor relationships, and new product initiatives
  • Support the continued growth and evolution of the capital markets function as portfolio volume and complexity increase

What We're Looking For:

  • 0 to 3 years of experience in finance, capital markets, investment banking, structured finance, private credit, consulting, Risk, or related analytical roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities with experience in Excel-based financial analysis and modeling
  • Demonstrated interest in capital markets, structured finance, or securitization
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Highly analytical, intellectually curious, and eager to learn
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative and team-oriented
  • Hands-on, high-energy, "roll up your sleeves" mindset
  • Ability to work within a dynamic, fast-moving environment while driving toward clarity and solutions

  • Experience with financial modeling, data analysis, SQL, Python, VBA, or other analytical tools is a plus

Kapitus Total Rewards Package Includes: 

  • Competitive Base Salary Range of $48,400-$77,700. Kapitus is providing this as a good faith salary range to comply with applicable law. The applicant's final salary will depend on a number of factors including the applicant's geographic location, skills, and experience.
