The Capital Markets Analyst plays a crucial role in sourcing, structuring, executing, and distributing debt financing for commercial real estate transactions. This position involves market research, financial modeling, deal structuring, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including real estate developers, institutional investors, banks, and private lenders. The role requires a deep understanding of real estate debt instruments, market trends, and financing strategies.

Responsibilities

Assist in sourcing, structuring, and executing real estate debt transactions, including CMBS, bridge loans, construction loans, and mezzanine financing. Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate debt structures, loan sizing, pricing, and repayment scenarios. Conduct market research and due diligence on debt markets, interest rate trends, and financing opportunities. Prepare financing memoranda, presentations, and reports for lenders, investment committees, and internal stakeholders. Monitor performance of outstanding debt transactions and provide portfolio-level analysis of risk and return. Collaborate with acquisitions, asset management, legal, and accounting teams to facilitate financing execution. Assist in negotiating loan terms, covenants, and agreements with banks, lenders, and private debt funds. Build and maintain relationships with lenders, brokers, and capital providers to support ongoing and future financing needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in real estate finance, debt capital markets, investment banking, or commercial lending. Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and structured finance modeling. Understanding of commercial real estate debt structures, CMBS, bridge loans, and other financing instruments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with real estate due diligence, underwriting, and credit risk assessment processes. Knowledge of macroeconomic and interest rate trends impacting real estate capital markets.
