Pipe Layer- Experienced Grademan

In need of a good construction pipe layer that knows how to shoot grades, set the laser up and to install water sewer and storm drain on grade and without any issues to assure that the lines will pass when testing. This position will work in the Charleston metro or tri-county areas on our job sites.

Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following):

• Read and understand blueprints for the project
• Provide good directions to equipment operator
• Place and grade bedding material
• Install pipe and fittings with a high level of quality
• Verify grades to be sure installations are correct
• Set up laser and scope
• Keep track of small tools and perform minor maintenance of small equipment
• Assist with material inventories
• Assist with production measurements
• Keep project site clean and organized

Experience/Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with shooting grade
• Experience in storm, sanitary sewer, and water pipe installation highly preferable
• Capable problem-solver with a strong understanding of basic construction processes
• Must have training in trench safety, proper rigging techniques and other safety protocols
• Ability to perform intense and repetitive manual labor
• Knowledge of pipe laying practices and commitment to safety
• Knowledge and experience reading blueprints
