Job Description
As a Fireplace Installer, your primary responsibility will be to install and maintain various types of fireplaces in residential and commercial settings. You will be responsible for ensuring that fireplaces are installed safely, efficiently, and according to local building codes and regulations. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Location: Marysville, WA
Salary: $28 Per Hour
Hours: 730am to 5pm (Monday- Friday)


  1. Site Evaluation: Conducting on-site evaluations to assess the suitability and logistics of fireplace installations. This involves measuring spaces, inspecting existing structures, and evaluating safety considerations.
  2. Installation Planning: Developing installation plans based on site evaluations, customer preferences, and technical specifications. This includes selecting appropriate materials, tools, and equipment for the job.
  3. Installation: Installing fireplaces, including traditional wood-burning fireplaces, gas fireplaces, electric fireplaces, and inserts. This involves assembling fireplace components, connecting gas lines or electrical wiring, and ensuring proper ventilation.
  4. Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all installations comply with local building codes, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines. This includes proper clearance distances, fireproofing, and ventilation requirements.
  5. Customer Interaction: Interacting with customers to understand their needs, explain installation processes, and address any concerns or questions they may have. Providing excellent customer service throughout the installation process.
  6. Maintenance and Repairs: Performing routine maintenance tasks on installed fireplaces, such as cleaning chimneys, inspecting gas lines, and replacing worn components. Responding to service calls to diagnose and repair fireplace issues.
  7. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of installations, including plans, permits, warranties, and service history. Completing installation reports and documentation for billing and administrative purposes.
  8. Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other tradespeople, such as contractors, electricians, and plumbers, to coordinate fireplace installations within larger construction projects.
  9. Continuous Learning: Staying updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in fireplace design and installation techniques. Participating in training programs and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in HVAC, construction, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in fireplace installation, construction, or a related trade is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, safety standards, and regulations related to fireplace installation.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment for fireplace installation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and collaborating with team members.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
