Job DescriptionCompany Description
A manufacturing company is seeking an individual who can set-up and operate Zinc and Aluminum Die Cast Machines. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with overtime as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Set-up all job orders and perform die changes per schedule
- Aluminum and Zinc Die Cast set-up
- Perform die changes in an efficient manner in order to reduce downtime
- Operate cranes and lift trucks to transfer dies
- Organize and prioritize in order to meet goals to reduce machine downtime
- Perform all required quality checks and obtain first piece approval
- Review and recommend process improvement opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in Zinc & Aluminum Die Casting is preferred
- Foundry or equivalent experience is required
- Must be able to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists
- Must be proficient with the functions and capabilities of Die Cast/Foundry Machinery
- Must have strong mechanical abilities and able to perform heavy manual labor
- Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to solve problems and multi-task
- Must be able to work together as a team, be organized, and able to prioritize
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must have steel toed footwear
- Must be able to work overtime when needed
- Must be comfortable working with hot metals and in a hot and dirty environment
