Job Description

This is a remote position.

Job Overview:
As a IC&E Technician, you will be working across industries to provide outstanding Operational Technology related programs, interfaces, documentation and support. You could be working on assembly lines, well heads, datacenters, beverage facilities, and providing managed SCADA services - all in the same week. Our team is expected to learn and to grow to be proficient across multiple skillsets while becoming an expert in 2-3 key disciplines. The role will require excellence as an individual contributor as well as working as part of a larger team.

  • Instrumentation and calibration
  • Industrial Communication Protocols
  • Industrial Networks - serial, IP, wireless
  • Control Cabinet Design and Troubleshooting
  • Electrical and Signal Troubleshooting
  • RTU / PLC Programming - Ladder Logic, Sequential Function Blocks, Structured Text
  • DCS Development
  • SCADA Programming, Graphics and Support
  • Drafting and Control Panel Design
  • Process Controls
  • Technical Writing
  • Project Management
Work is completed in hybrid work environments, in office with the team, occasionally from home, and frequently in the field for commissioning or on-going support as needed. Target travel expectation for the year is 50%. Employees may elect to be on a travel team with higher travel requirements and receive additional compensation. This job requires physical capabilities in the field working on electrical equipment, lifting, pulling, standing weights in excess of 50 pounds, regular travel and driving.

Requirements
At all levels:
  • Electrical Training or Certification
  • Drug Free work environment
  • Valid Driver's license and ability to travel without restrictions
  • Familiarity with 61131-3 Programming
  • Strong ability to read electrical schematics
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and detail-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work with cross-functional and discipline teams effectively
Above entry level, the following requirements are expected in line with job level:
  • Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Red Lion, Opto22, Ignition, VT SCADA, Phoenix Contact, Emerson, and other platform experience
  • Advanced Process Control Expertise
  • Discrete Automation and Robotic Controls
  • Expertise with P&IDs, Control Narratives, Cause and Effects, SIS
  • Electrical Engineering
  • UL, IEC, NIST, CSA and other industrial standards
  • Drive expertise AC/DC/Servo/VFD

- Merit Based Rewards and Bonuses

o Sales Commission – Please refer to the sales Commission policy for details. Employees can be rewarded for pursuing new customers and projects in addition to their base pay as a quarterly bonus paid NET 30 from end of quarter on a revenue paid within the quarter directly related to merit based sales support

o Project Delivery – Projects that are final invoiced and achieve a overall margin above target are subject to bonus for the entire project team based on their level of contribution. Contributions can be based on several factors including:

§ Level of responsibility for overall development of project

§ Contributions to efficiency or development of new tools that improved profits

§ Peer and Manager evaluations

o New Offerings – Employees that utilize personal time to develop unique products, services, and offerings that can be repeatedly deployed in future projects for efficiency, or to increase overall sales and profitability can be paid a royalty for their contribution based on a percentage of gross sales received in the form of a profit split.
