About The Role
An Applications Trainer is a member of the Training Team. They are an outstanding group of trainers that deliver in-person and virtual classes to adult students. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and love to be in the classroom teaching. This is a perfect role for someone looking to grow, take on new challenges, with a customer first-attitude, strong work ethic and high level of professionalism. This is a hybrid role that is 70 - 80% onsite.

Job Description
The Applications Trainer is responsible for providing quality training on a variety of software applications (SharePoint, Adobe Creative Cloud, Office 365 to name a few) and Workplace fundamental skills. This position is perfect for someone with the ability to deliver high level end-user classes to adult students. We provide the training materials and tools to utilize in the classroom. The ideal candidate is an organized, fast learner, with technical ability who thrives on expanding their knowledge with new skills.

Essentials Of The Role
Prepare and deliver in-person or virtual training in many applications using quality presentation skills and technical ability.

Main Responsibilities

• Deliver in person and virtual training.
• Travel to client sites with the New York Metropolitan Area to deliver training.
• Work as a subject matter expert on custom training solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert with sales and marketing as needed.
• Develop and expand knowledge base and obtain certifications as needed.

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Desktop Applications
• Intermediate or advanced level with SharePoint and an understanding of its capabilities, Adobe Creative Cloud beneficial & Office 365 – all applications and collaborative tools
• Enjoys public speaking to large groups of people.
• Excellent communication, presentation skills, and customer service agility
• Flexibility to work non-standard business hours or weekends if needed
• Able to troubleshoot under pressure and learn technical information quickly.
• Seeing and visual capability – viewing screens, monitors, etc.
• Ability to travel to client sites up to 80%
• Ability to work in a remote environment up to 20%
• Out of town travel 10 - 20%
  

Education & Experience

• Bachelor degree in Communications, Public Speaking, Computer Science, Education or equivalent experience preferred.

• Prior training/mentoring/teaching/coaching experiences preferred.
