Marketing Sciences Analyst

The Marketing Sciences Analyst role offers an exciting growth opportunity a talented Data Analyst to join Bluepeak’s Marketing Science organization as an IC3-level professional. Responsibilities include insight generation, helping to design and carry out analyses to answer key business questions, developing and automating business performance reporting, and management/engineering/integration of data from disparate sources to support organization objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience with current data and analytics platforms and will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in programming, data visualization, and a demonstrated ability draft data-driven narratives into actionable recommendations.

What You Will Do:

• Subscriber Analytics: Identify research topics and questions that will have meaningful business impact. Design and conduct in-depth customer analysis to explain business performance, identify trends, and surface actionable insights and opportunities for driving improved results.
• Data Visualization: Explore and visualize data to uncover insights and communicate findings to stakeholders effectively in ways that facilitate understanding and decision-making by the business.
• Marketing Performance Analysis: Conduct analysis of marketing programs, including of A/B tests of new tactics and offerings, drive continuous improvement in marketing performance. Collaborate with marketing teams to optimize campaign targeting, messaging, and channel selection based on data-driven insights.
• Data Management Engineering: Independently work to extract data from existing systems to support various analytics initiatives, including QC to ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity.
• Reporting: Design and develop recurring reporting to monitor business performance and trending. Preparation of monthly management reporting including subscriber acquisition, customer retention, and various other marketing and sales operating results
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document methodologies, findings, and best practices for reproducibility and knowledge sharing purposes. Share insights and expertise with team members to foster a culture of learning and collaboration within the Marketing Science organization.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and business intelligence, to align marketing science initiatives with business objectives and priorities. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Other related duties as assigned.

What You will Need:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field required. Advanced degrees and relevant certifications (e.g., Data Science, Machine Learning) are a plus.
• Experience: 2-4+ years’ experience working in a marketing or sales analytics role, or related areas, with demonstrated experience solving business problems with data.
• Marketing Analytics: Understanding of marketing principles, metrics, and KPIs. Experience with marketing analytics techniques such as customer segmentation, campaign analysis, and ROI measurement. Ability to self-serve from existing source systems to create of datasets needed to accomplish work.
• Database and SQL: Proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and retrieval. Experience working with SQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Programming Proficiency: Demonstrated programming aptitude in languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Data Visualization: Familiarity in data visualization tools and techniques to create informative and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and presentations. Experience with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib/seaborn for data visualization. Experience with ThoughtSpot a strong plus.
• Data and Analytics Platforms: Exposure to and experience with at least one big data platform such as AWS, Azure, Databricks, Qubole, Snowflake, etc.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts and analytic results to non-technical stakeholders.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders from various departments, including marketing, finance, IT, and operations.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with a creative, analytical, and action-oriented mindset. Ability to approach complex problems systematically, break them down into manageable components, and develop data-driven solutions.
• Continuous Learning: Willingness to explore new techniques, tools, and methodologies to improve skills and enhance job performance.

Salary Range: $75,000-$105,000
