Graduate Engineer / EIT

CivilCorp, LLC, (an ESP Associates, Inc. company) is seeking an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Graduate Engineer to join our team in Fulshear, TX. CivilCorp is a professional service firm offering civil engineering and land surveying services throughout Texas. CivilCorp’s main office is in Victoria, TX, with additional offices in Houston, Fulshear, Corpus Christi, and Round Rock. Responsibilities:

• Assist in applying engineering expertise in the daily operational task of preparing Plans, Specification & Estimate (PS&E), preliminary engineering reports, schematic design, roadway design, drainage design and TCP for roadway projects.
• Engineering-related calculations and drafting / design work.
• Design computations and plan preparations to include preparing plan sheets for construction projects.
• Assists in creating plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E). Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
• Design activity is supervised by a licensed professional engineer who has authority for final approval of all projects. Work requires some contact with local government representatives and private entities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BSCE) or Engineering Technology (BSCET)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and work alone or within a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong desire to continue learning, advance professionally, and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, design team environment.
• Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• EI/EIT certification
• Experience designing highway, freeway and/or tollway design (PS&E) projects.
• Experience with roadway design, utility research and coordination, traffic control plans and quantity calculations.
• Experience with highway design programs (Microstation V8i, GEOPAK and Open Roads) required for use in completing tasks.
• Recent experience with and knowledge of TxDOT standards, specifications, policies, and procedures.
