We have 2 openings for the Electronic Product Engineer engineers that will be working in the new Innovation Center facility in Speedway. The new 109,000-square-foot Innovation Center will help the company expand its efficient operations and showcase its technologies. The four-story building will include a vehicle display area, private offices, open concept office space, conference rooms, a café, kitchen and more.
The Controls Systems Engineer for the Electric Vehicle products that include Power Electronics, Electric Motors, Inverters, Solenoids, Sensors, and ECUs. The engineer will work with internal and external customers to identify component and system requirements for conventional transmission, hybrid, and electrified propulsion system products. Based on these requirements, this engineer will develop specifications, statements of work, and action plans to design, develop, and source electronic parts for conventional and electrified propulsion systems. This role will be instrumental in developing and overseeing the execution of verification plans for components and systems in laboratory, test cell, and vehicle environments. Finally, this person will play a lead role in investigation and resolution of field issues as opportunities with fielded products arise.

Responsibilities:
- Specify the product and what it does, and related electrical interface
- Will not be designing the product.
- Conduct system integration with electrical, mechanical, and control systems engineering teams.
- Investigate reliability and durability performance and initiate corrective actions as required.
- Perform root cause failure analysis on electrical systems.
- Prepare and release engineering technical documents.
- Provide product technical support to suppliers, customers and other departments.
- Identify and develop opportunities for product improvements and cost reduction.
- Prepare and present technical status reports, schedules, and budgets for a variety of audiences
Education Required:
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar engineering discipline
Education Preferred:
MS in Engineering
Experience Required:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar engineering field
- 3 years of experience with a variety of Electric Vehicle product hardware
- Ability to solve problems, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis
- Ability to communicate effectively in a cross functional setting
- Some Travel
Preferred:
- Program Management, Validation Plan and DVP&R Development
- Automotive and Commercial Vehicle applications
- Vehicle and component level Noise, Vibration and Harshness NVH
