Job Description
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to assess health and safety needs of students, families, and school employees
- Ability to work with technology programs and equipment
- Assist in PE/PA quarterly state reports.
- Knowledge of basic principles of research, statistics, data collection, and analysis
- Collaborate with Health Service Supervisor to develop forms and procedures for collection of data through emails, spreadsheets, forms, etc.
- Collect and enter all Health Screening data from all schools for submission to state. (Yearly)
- Work with Coordinated School Health Coordinator to ensure compliance with district nutrition, health services, physical education policies, and state school health laws.
- Assist in collaboration with community and school resources to provide additional programs on the 8 components of CSH (nutrition, safety, etc.).
- Ability to work with technology programs and equipment
- Answer phone calls/take messages. (Daily)
- Assist in distribution of materials purchased for school sites by CSH.
- Make travel arrangements and complete registration for CSH staff and school personnel for professional development activities.
- Assist in maintaining financial spreadsheet for CSH's budget.
- Assist in distribution and collection of surveys requested by state.
- Process request from schools and CSH program for purchasing materials.
- Maintain inventory for CSH.
- Assist in maintaining CSH Facebook website.
- Attend CSH related meetings.
- Attend required professional development trainings.
- Assist in development of flyers/brochures to highlight CSH activities for distribution to the general public.
- Assist in organizing and managing Staff Wellness programs.
- Do ordering, maintenance, and inventory of supplies.
- Assist in coordinating and ensuring the timely and accurate payment of all bills associated with CSH.
- Work with school nurses to ensure all needed forms are correct and up to date.
- Assists in providing and distribution of necessary medical materials for all schools (Epi Pens, Narcan, etc.)
- Collect and record data from school system concerning absenteeism due to illness, when needed.
- Print, make copies, and distribute yearly forms needed by school nurses.
- Set up and clean up for CSH events.
- Assists with the set up of CPR classes that are offered to school staff.
- Submit all work orders.
- Maintain expenditure spreadsheet and charts for distribution to Roane County Children's Fund Board Member, school staff, and financial contributors. (Monthly)
- Other duties as assigned by the Coordinated School Health Coordinator
