Accounts Receivable Analyst
Description
The role of the accounts receivable analyst is to take charge of assigned customer accounts to ensure the timely reconciliation and management of account activities from a financial perspective.
Essential Job Functions
· Ensures proper invoices have been distributed to customers
· Provides payment break-downs for cash application
· Reconcile customer accounts and prepare necessary account adjustments
· Responsible for cash collections
Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable Analysts are responsible for daily interaction with both internal as well as external customers to ensure the following:
· Daily/weekly review of aged trial balance to monitor invoicing, payments, and potential account issues
· Cforia (collections software) - Maintain customer notes for assigned accounts, send communications and account statements, and electronically store support documentation (shipping documents, POD, PO, etc)
· Adjustment identification, research and journal preparation
· Pricing verification and notification to management of pricing issues as identified
· Collection and reconciliation of customer payments and remittance details
· Assist with cash application by providing necessary payment break-downs (including verification that cash was applied correctly)
· Participation and reporting of customer accounts to executive management in regular departmental meetings
· Ad-hoc reporting
· Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
· Three years minimum experience in accounts receivable - required
· Business professional
· Teamwork – must be able to work with sales, customer service, and both internal as well as external customers to resolve issues and collect payments
· Automotive/manufacturing experience - preferred
· Analytical skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Organized
· Detail oriented
· Proficient in Microsoft Suite Products – Excel and Word
· Windows based ERP experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
