TCI is seeking an On-Site Construction Superintendent / Project Manager with active security clearance (minimum Secret level) with a strong background, knowledge, and experience in building systems and construction means and methods to support our worldwide US Government design-build construction projects. The position entails working on a busy construction site overseas, generally away from the employee’s family, and in countries whose laws and social norms may be much more restrictive and work conditions tougher than in the United States. Work involves a 60-hour workweek, 6 days a week/ 10 hours per day. Flexibility with hours/days is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervision of the actual physical construction of the project in strict accordance with the contract documents.
Work in a team environment with other Project Managers, Engineers, and Superintendents
Perform a key role in maintaining work productivity and keeping projects on schedule and budget.
Oversee and coordinate subcontractor's work in conformance to contract documents.
Manage self-performing work crews consisting of both US and local country personnel.
Ensure that construction activities move according to a predetermined schedule.
Devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when the need arises.
Communicate effectively with the subcontractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.
Maintain strict adherence to the quality and safety standards.
Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Construction Manager
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of ten(10) years of commercial or government construction project experience as superintendent, or project manager. International construction industry experience interacting with various diverse cultures is preferred.
Knowledge, skill, and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards
Must have preferably a four-year college degree in Architecture/Engineering/Construction or related field.
Highly professional verbal and written communication skills.
Highly motivated with great organizational, team, and customer service skills.
Possess or must be eligible for federal government security clearance.
