This position is responsible for cleaning all cooking utensils and service ware in order to provide cooks and food servers with the appropriate equipment for our guests dining experience.

Job description

Responsibilities:

Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand
Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
Stock supplies such as food or utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars
Sweep or scrub floors
Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
Clean food preparation areas and equipment
Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures is a plus

Skills:

Cook: While the primary responsibility is dishwashing, having basic cooking skills can be an added advantage.
Help: Assisting other kitchen staff with various tasks is an essential part of the job.
Food preparation: Being familiar with basic food preparation techniques can be beneficial.
Clean: Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards is crucial for this role.
Kitchen: Familiarity with kitchen equipment and layout is important.
Food handling: Knowledge of proper food handling procedures is necessary to ensure food safety.
Food service: Understanding the basics of food service operations is helpful.
Culinary: Having a passion for culinary arts can be an asset.
Restaurant: Experience working in a restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
Banquet: Experience working in banquet settings can be advantageous.
