Bindery/Digital Print Operator- NHQ (Memphis, TN)

Ducks Unlimited, Inc. (DU), the leader in wetlands and waterfowl conservation, has an opening for a Bindery/Digital Print Operator at our National Headquarters in Memphis, TN. This position will report to the Director – Warehouse and Print Services.

The role of this position is to maintain and operate high-volume copiers, digital envelope printer and a variety of bindery equipment. Specific responsibilities include:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain and operate digital printing machinery using a PC to process jobs and download/manipulate print files through a variety of applications
• Maintain and operate bindery equipment
• Make equipment and computer interface adjustments required to run various sizes/weights of paper stock and imposing layout structure
• Handle equipment problems and maintenance, including making minor machinery repairs
• Maintain files related to print jobs and printing materials as directed on print job tickets
• Monitor equipment during operation to maintain copy quality, ensuring all printed products exceed quality expectations
• Operate a variety of print shop equipment including digital printers, punching, cutting, collating, stitching, drilling, padding, perforating, due-cutting labeling equipment, folding machine, and statement mail inserter
• Work under pressure to produce quality work and meet committed deadlines
• Maintain record of work performed
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
• Perform additional print related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• A high school diploma
• Two-Three years’ experience in commercial bindery
• Working experience with digital printing equipment
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship and team building skills
• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
• Dependable and punctual
• Ability to lift 70 pounds
