Manufacturing Engineer

Advanced Mission Partners (AMP) a wholly owned subsidiary of SSAI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative manufacturing team in Linthicum, MD. As a Manufacturing Engineer at AMP, you will play a key role in optimizing our production processes and ensuring the efficient manufacture of our products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, implement innovative solutions, and drive operational excellence. Essential Duties:

• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Design and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to meet production goals and quality standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and risk assessments for new manufacturing initiatives.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process instructions, work procedures, and quality standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to production teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize manufacturing performance.
• Collaborate with design engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and designs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects, to streamline processes and reduce waste.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production deviations and quality issues.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in manufacturing engineering.

Skills:

• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design and modeling.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, DOE).
• Experience with manufacturing technologies such as CNC machining, injection molding, or additive manufacturing
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role.
