JOB TITLE: Director of Family and Community Based Housing
JOB DETAILS: Under the direction of the Senior VP of Program, the Director of Family and Community Based Housing is responsible for the supervision of all programmatic and operational elements of the Family and Community Based program offered through Camillus House. This includes scattered-site permanent supportive housing., family permanent housing programs, homeless prevention services (call line and case management), and rapid rehousing. Moreover, this Director of Programs takes charge of budget accountability and personnel management. This position is part of the leadership team and works with the SVP of Programs to ensure the delivery of essential services.
Salary (Paid in US Dollars)
$70,000-$80,000/annual
Qualifications
Education: A Master’s degree is preferred in Social Work or related field; any appropriate combination of education, experience, and/or certification may be considered.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience working directly with the homeless and/or underserved population, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role relating to the provision of housing or services to the homeless or underserved population.
Language: Proficiency in oral/written English. Bilingual (i.e., Spanish) preferred; additional languages a plus (i.e., Creole).
Skills: Proficiency in computer (Word, Excel, other data collecting programs). Working knowledge of the continuum of care system (Coordinated entry, Housing First, etc.), expected performance outcomes, HMIS standard of care, homeless housing and services funding sources, program requirements and regulations, compliance etc.
Requirements
Successful completion of Toxicology test, L2 and local background screening.
Valid FL Driver License with clean driving record.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities:
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the programs assigned.
- Formulates and implements short- and long-term program goals and objectives.
- Assists with the development and implementation of program policies and procedures.
- Monitors assigned staff’s adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
- Fosters innovative thinking, cooperation, and service integration among departmental staff and programs.
- Hires, trains, and supervises program staff. Fosters appositive and inclusive work environment that promotes professional growth and development.
- Develops and sustains community partnerships with local organizations and agencies.
- Maintains current knowledge and ensures compliance of all federal, state, and local agency policies and procedures.
- Develops and sustains training materials and program manuals to staff.
- Supervises departmental personnel and ensures staff is trained, developed, and empowered to effectively perform their jobs.
- Plans and analyzes departmental, and monitors, program budgets including monthly projections and trends.
- Maintains compliance with program contracts and regulatory agreements.
- Responds timely and professionally to stakeholder’s inquiries.
- Participates on the agency’s emergency response team.
- Other duties as assigned.
