JOB TITLE: Product Engineer

ECS Composites is a custom composites manufacturer for environmental container systems used to transport and operate sensitive equipment for a variety of applications. ECS has been a family run company for 70 years and takes pride in the family environment this has created among its employees.

Job Summary:

The Product Engineer is a full-time position responsible for the design of products through the creation of CAD models, Engineering drawings, and other related administrative documentation while also ensuring the design is sound. This involves using engineering methods to design, test, evaluate, and document materials and processes to verify that the product meets customer expectations. This position works closely alongside the Sales and Manufacturing team to accomplish these objectives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepare solid models and drawings identifying features & tolerances critical to customer success

· Execute finite element analysis as necessary to ensure customer requirements are met

· Provide reviews of documentation as requested by peers

· Support internal and external customer requests for information

· Generate and maintain Bills of Material supporting Sourcing and Manufacturing

· Use broad technical skills to ensure manufacturability of products

· Develop and maintain procedures & instructions to convey processes and methods

· Assess human factors in processes to improve safety and reduce nonconformity

· Share knowledge amongst team members

· Protect the proprietary nature of all ECS Composites products, materials, and processes

· Other tasks as deemed necessary

Qualifications and Skills:

· Education: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology

· Understanding of manufacturing methods, materials, & standards

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

· Professional written and verbal communication skills as well as sound interpersonal skills

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, PowerPoint & Excel

Helpful Skills:

· Experience in composites manufacturing

o Thermoset, thermostamp, rotational molding, or resin transfer molding
