Job Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the product compliance program on regulations and directives and creating and maintaining controlled documents.
Essential Functions:
- Performs product testing for physical dimension by using instruments such as calipers, rulers and mandrels.
- Performs accelerated weather testing, abrasion testing, and flammability testing.
- Manages and sends samples out for third party testing.
- Calibrates in house instruments.
- Works with and manages material safety data sheets.
- Conducts product inspection to meet specification.
- Performs complaint and non-conforming material investigations.
- Creates and maintains controlled documents.
- Conducts internal audits.
- Performs scientific reporting in the form of test protocols.
- Interprets test results, compares them to established specifications and control limits, and makes recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
- Performs visual inspections of finished products.
- Participates in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommends corrective actions.
- Manages the Product Compliance Program on Regulations and Directives, ie. RoHS, REACH, Prop 65, Conflict Minerals, etc.
- Performs Batch Record Review.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform additional duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, & Capabilities:
- Candidate must possess a good understanding of GMP and ISO QMS.
- Must have a working knowledge MS Word and MS PowerPoint software, and be proficient in MS Excel and MS Visio software.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi task and prioritize work load independently.
- Science or engineering background preferred.
- Visual acuity to examine or inspect material.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lifting and/or moving spools weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Sharp vision required.
Work Environment:
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
- Noise level is usually moderate to high.
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience:
- At least 1 years’ experience related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
