Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our dynamic team. We have a dedicated auto shop on property to service our ever growing fleet of cars, trucks and vans. This role is critical in ensuring the operational efficiency, safety, and reliability of our fleet. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing complex issues, executing repairs with precision and care, and has expertise in engine and transmission teardown and reassembly. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime and supporting our mission to provide uninterrupted services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of fleet vehicles, including trucks, vans, and specialized equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, using the latest diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce vehicle breakdowns and extend the lifespan of the fleet.
• Detailed knowledge and hands-on experience in engine and transmission teardown and reassembly are preferred.
• Collaborate with the fleet management team to schedule repairs and maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and repairs completed.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and best practices in fleet maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a mechanic, with a focus on fleet or heavy equipment preferred.
• Technical certification or degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Expertise in engine and transmission teardown and reassembly is highly preferred.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and software efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• Automotive Service Excellence Certification required.
