Provide support, analysis, and technical support for NIH Campus building Open and Closed Loop Hydronic systems to ensure the industrial water treatment program accomplishes the following objectives through achieving optimal water chemistry and properties:
1. Maximize water flow and heat transfer efficiency by implementing the IWTP.
2. Protect heat transfer equipment and associated piping.
3. Prevent corrosion and fouling damage of heat transfer equipment and associated piping by using chemical treatment to eliminate the occurrence of leaks that result in flooding and property damage.
4. Conserve water and energy to surpass applicable environmental and federal sustainability mandates.
5. Ensure the safe handling and storage of water treatment chemicals.
6. Prevent and/or reduce the loss of process water returns (Condensate and Chilled Water) to the Central Utility Plant.
The position works collaboratively with CUP management, engineers, and water chemistry treatment vendor to ensure the IWTP meets all objectives.
