CBVR Design Group is actively seeking an energetic and knowledgeable individual to fill the Electrical Engineer position for our telecommunications projects. The successful candidate will lead the electrical engineering designs of wireless telecommunication projects from the conceptual phase through design completion. Duties include the development of standard professional electrical engineering design deliverables including performing engineering calculations, engineered drawings and documents, equipment specification, and construction support. This is a senior level position that requires the ability to work independently without supervision with a high level of accountability. Ideally this candidate should have several years of project electrical design experience within the telecommunications DAS & Tower industry.
Job Duties:
Specializes in (RF) equipment (i.e. radios, remotes, equipment cabinets, etc.)
Perform load calculations, circuit and conductor sizing calculations, protective device coordination studies, arc flash calculations, voltage drop calculations, etc.
Complete power distribution plan designs, single-line drawings, grounding plans, panel schedules, cable schedules, cable tray layouts, lighting plans, control narratives, control schematics, interconnect diagrams, heat trace drawings, etc.
Develop equipment data sheets, bill of materials, submittal reviews and approvals, etc.
Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills;
Manage the Coordination, scheduling, and tracking of site visits and technical team visits with various departments
Ensure that the project teams keep customers informed of project progress, issues and projected completion dates.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Active PE licensure is preferred
5-10 years of experience with telecommunications/tower power design including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution,
Candidate should have a working knowledge of the NEC and related Codes.
Experience in the design of power generation and distribution for 480V and 15kV systems.
Proficiency in standard engineering design and office software (AutoCAD, ETAP, Excel, etc.).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills;
A work ethic to drive projects and tasks to finish on time, overcoming any obstacles along the way.
The expertise to solve problems, drawing on your past experience and using existing resources and a desire to take the initiative, seizing opportunities when you see them.
Highly organized and able to multi-task and work effectively with limited supervision. Highly motivated self-starter able to work under aggressive project schedules.
