POSITION TITLE: Summer Food Program Site Supervisor

RESPONSIBLE TO: Youth and Family Programs Manager

HRS PER WEEK: 10 –15 hours

DATES OF POSITION: June 17, 2024 – August 23, 2024

HOURLY WAGE: $18.00/hour


SUMMARY OF POSITION: This is a part-time, temporary position. The FOOD For Lane County (FFLC) Summer Food Service Program aims to provide children with nutritious meals where school meals are not available in the summer. Site Supervisors serve free meals to children and youth ages 18 years and younger at assigned sites at a designated mealtime. Meals are served according to USDA, Lane County Health, Oregon Department of Education, and FOOD For Lane County’s rules and regulations.


PRIMARY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Setup and breakdown of the serving site five days a week

• Responsible for transportation of meals, forms, and equipment to and from designated serving site using personal vehicle

• Serves free meals to youth safely and according to USDA, Lane County Health, and FOOD For Lane County’s rules and regulations

• Works in collaboration with coworkers to create a positive, safe, and well-organized meal distribution

• Ensures that serving site is left free of litter

• Completes and turns in all paperwork on time

• Reports customer service issues to the Youth and Family Programs and/or Summer Food Program Assistant

• Treats all youth and adults with dignity and respect

• Maintains a professional appearance, manner, and approach while on duty

• Performs other duties as requested by supervisor


SKILLS:


• Good organizational skills and attention to detail

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Proficient at basic math

• Ability to work independently

Bilingual English/Spanish helpful

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


• Current driver’s license with good driving record, current auto insurance, and ability to use personal vehicle for business

• Ability to safely lift 40 pounds

• Ability to obtain a current Food Handlers card

• Ability to commit to a M-F lunchtime schedule from June 17 – August 23

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Ability to use personal cell phone (with provided stipend)
