Sumner Solutions is now interviewing for a Transportation Broker Sales Representative. Within this
position, you will be identifying, sourcing, and developing strong business relationships with service
providers. This position requires an energetic, strategically focused Sales achiever that enjoys the
latitude of working independently. All Candidates must have TRANSPORT SALES experience.
We are seeking a well-qualified candidate that understands and has a strong knowledge of
transportation logistics. MUST HAVE A BOOK OF BUSINESS!

● You are comfortable making multiple outbound cold calls
● You possess an entrepreneurial mindset who desires full range support for building your
book of business and maximizing your potential
● You provide excellent customer service and are an effective communicator who is easily
accessible
● You excel at and enjoy managing relationships with customers
● You are savvy at negotiating rates based on market conditions
● You are a naturally motivated and skilled salesperson who is driven to build your book by
acquiring new customers daily
● You are a creative thinker who enjoys a competitive, team-based atmosphere
● You are a strong multi-tasker who is adept at navigating multiple computer systems.
● You have experience using CRM and TMS systems (Salesforce and SuperDispatch)
● You are driven by a high moral and ethical compass
● You are proficient with Google related apps - G Suite
● You demonstrate problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
● You are an experienced negotiator and salesperson

Daily Responsibilities:
● Generating leads and attracting new prospects and developing a sales pipeline
● Providing customers with shipping quotes.
● Keeping accurate records of relevant activities.
● Ensure timely processing of customer freight shipments
● Updating customers on the status of shipments and assisting with other inquiries
● Resolve logistical issues to ensure carrier satisfaction and retention
