ABoR is looking for an Intern (Data and Research Analytics) who will work closely with the Housing Economist to extract insights from large datasets and collect, analyze, and assist in the preparation of presentation of data-driven insights. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in research and data analysis while contributing to real-world projects. This position will be scheduled 15-20 hours per week, with one day a week to be in person at our Austin HQ.

• Collect, clean, and process data from various sources to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in the data.
• Assist in designing and developing data visualizations and translating findings into presentations and written reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand stakeholders’ needs and optimize data-driven insights and research content accordingly.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of databases.
• Contribute to the development of predictive models and statistical analyses.
• Collect and analyze data from various sources, including surveys, reports, and databases.
• Support the creation of detailed reports and presentations summarizing research findings.

• Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Market Research, or a related discipline).
• Previous coursework or projects, or work experience related to research or data analysis.
• Strong analytical and research skills with a passion for working with data.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, ArcGIS) is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in data collection and reporting.
• Ability to report in person to our Austin HQ at least one day per week.
