Job Description

Partner Staffing is currently working with our client to find an energetic Senior Project Manager to support our client’s Operations Team. The ideal candidate applies a structured methodology to construction projects, encompassing client relations, administrative reporting, budget management, and scheduling. This ensures effective coordination, tracking, reporting, and monitoring of construction project activities.


Responsibilities:

  • Adopt and integrate all the client’s project management systems
  • Manage project activities throughout the cycle of the project, including the allocation of adequate resources, scheduling, documentation, and budgets
  • Achieve the project budget and complete accurate monthly forecasts
  • Engages strategically with clients, assessing and assuming responsibility for all external stakeholders, while employing diplomacy and professionalism to mutually enhance relationships
  • Oversees on-site construction activities and facilitates communication among subcontractors, construction site personnel, office staff, and clients as needed
  • Promotes the growth of high-performing project teams by overseeing, training, coaching, and mentoring. Ensures consistent feedback is provided to staff, including formal quarterly evaluations of employee progress


Requirements
  • Technical diploma in a construction-related field (CET) or related engineering degree
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible work experience in Alberta within the commercial/Institutional construction industry
  • Thorough understanding of construction documentation, drawings, specifications, cost analysis, budgets, and contemporary construction practices and methods.
  • Proficiency in effective communication and collaboration with various project stakeholders, anticipating their requirements, and proactively addressing challenges within a dynamic setting.
  • Superior leadership qualities with a demonstrated track record of dealing successfully with internal and external clients
  • Demonstrated capability and skill in inspiring, coaching, and guiding fellow team members to advance both technically and professionally in their respective careers.
  • Strong negotiation skills
