Purchaser

As a  Purchaser, you will be critical to the procurement of goods to manufacture our solutions. This work involves researching, evaluating, purchasing and procuring equipment and services using corporate guidelines, rules, and policies in accordance to laws.   This position will monitor the material demands from the various sources and ensure work orders are created and material is bought according to that demand using our MRP System.   You will work on cross-functional teams to meet our client needs, and mentor more junior purchaser.
 

• Prepares and reviews purchase orders
• Prepares and reviews, PO’s, bids and orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications
• Prepares and distributes bid invitations to vendors
• Tracks the status of requisitions and purchase orders.
• Reviews various purchasing and procurement reports and records and maintains files
• Assists with determining operational minimum and maximum inventory levels
• Procurement of subcontract services
• Create work orders to satisfy work sales demand
• Sourcing of vendors for identified parts
• ​Assist in the negotiation of price and terms with the vendor

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in a field relevant to procurement i.e. APICS, PMAC or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 5(+) years experience in procurement and supply chain management in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with an MRP system
