DETAILS


Basic Function – The Aircraft Refueller & Line Service Specialist

To provide an exceptional level of safety and guest service experience through aircraft refuelling, aircraft ground management and overall “best in class” FBO services in Thunder Bay, representing the Global Shell Aviation brand and Sky Fill brand.

 

Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Operate specific department/Company software programs
  • Answer telephones and emails
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Organize and prioritize workload
  • Work under pressure
  • Prepare reports
  • Research, resolve and respond to internal/external customers’ issues and queries
  • Work with minimal or no supervision
  • Maintain, calculate and input information per Shell requirements
  • Process internal/external payments 
  • Handle POS transactions (Visa, Mastercard, Amex etc.)
  • Comply with Company Policies and Government Regulations
  • Always follow Sky Fill & Shell Aviation Safety Protocols
  • Refuel client aircraft as required
  • Perform required safety checks, regulated checks and fuel farm acceptance procedures
  • Complete daily tool box meeting and log
  • Coordinate ramp activates relating to arrival and departures of private flights
  • Maintain security of Sky Fill & Shell facilities
  • Clean refueling facilities including lounge (if applicable), sheds, tank farm, parking lot and apron areas
  • Clean and manage fuel farm
  • Clean interior/exterior of fuel trucks
  • Clean interior/exterior of Courtesy Vehicle
  • Marshall aircraft to and from parking stands
  • Wing walk arrivals and departures as needed
  • Greet arriving Private Charter aircraft
  • Provide excellent customer service to SkyFill & Shell clients, guests and visitors
  • Complete daily inspection of operating equipment
  • Complete equipment deficiency reports as required
  • Snow removal, equipment cleaning, and housekeeping around all facilities as required
  • Attend all required training sessions and successfully complete training courses
  • Actively participate in company SMS Program
  • Work as a team member in a safe, efficient, professional manner
  • Adhere to published uniform standards and requirements
  • Follow all safety guidelines and safe workplace procedures
  • Liaise with service provider for Ground Handling requirements
  • Take direction from Manager and Owners
  • Other duties as assigned by management

 

 

In addition to the above, all positions may be required to perform the following Tasks / Responsibilities:

  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • May be required to perform other related duties which do not affect the nature of the job
  • Verify, rates and adjust documents for customer billing
  • Task allocation may vary from one department to another
  • Maintain competitive awareness of industry standards
  • May be required to travel for training and/or development purposes

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High School Diploma
  • Completion of College Diploma and/or University Degree preferred or equivalent experience


Skills/Knowledge

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office & Google applications
  • Aptitude for accuracy and detail
  • Working experience with Fuel Handling and/or Dangerous Goods Handling is an asset
  • Previous heavy equipment or truck driving experience is an asset


Experience

  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience
  • New hires with existing RAIC eligible for premium pay
  • New hires with existing DZ and/or completion within 6 months of hire eligible for premium pay for first year of employment


Specific Requirements

  • G Driver’s License Required, DZ Driver’s License preferred
  • Criminal Background Check Required
  • Confidentiality Agreement Required
  • Participate in customer / partner specific Safety Requirements

 

Additional Information

  • $85.00 per year protective footwear allowance
  • PPE required is provided to the employee
  • 75e/25c cost share on all uniform requirements
  • Access to company benefit program (50e/50c) for full time employees
  • Access to group RSP for full time employees
  • Company performance bonus (as and when applicable)
