Description

We're looking for an outstanding Fuel Delivery Driver to join our Team at our Charlottesville Plant. This position requires an individual to safely load, then drive a bobtail delivery vehicle to residential and commercial customer locations. We're seeking someone who has a real passion for customer service and thrives in a fast-paced environment as a safety-focused Bobtail Driver.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane & other fuel to and from specified destinations.
  • Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies or routine maintenance.
  • Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
  • Operates delivery truck in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with Dispatcher to plan and follow routes and meet delivery schedules.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering questions.
  • Completes required on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency deliveries and responses.
  • Ensure truck and associated equipment are clean and in good working order.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Requires a CDL B License with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
  • Experience maneuvering in tight quarters and driving in snow, ice and other weather conditions
  • Physically capable of heavy lifting, bending, squatting, climbing, carrying hoses/nozzles weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Good driving record with no major convictions
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally and in written correspondence with Dispatcher and customers
  • Able to read and understand road signs, instructions, routes and other paperwork
  • Displays a positive, "can-do" attitude and interacts well with others on a team
  • Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen test
