Job description

Join Our Team as a Heavy Equipment / Yellow Iron Mechanic!

📍Location:Heart of Florida Landfill - Lake Panasoffkee, FL
🕡Schedule:Monday-Friday | Saturdays as needed
💰Pay:$35-$45hour DOE

What You'll Do:
  • Perform repairs andpreventive maintenanceon a variety of heavy equipment.
  • Diagnose and fix electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
  • Work with a fleet of yellow iron equipment including compactors, dozers, excavators, motor graders, water trucks, and articulated dump trucks.
  • Operate bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, and scrapers. (Compactor experience is a plus!)
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
What We're Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with diesel engines and yellow iron equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate technical service information.
  • CDLpreferred (but not required at time of hire).
  • Strong knowledge ofheavy equipment operationand maintenance.
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
