About the Logistics & Storage Engineering Organization:

Logistics & Storage Engineering (L&SE) provides project management and engineering design services to support the continuous growth and maintenance of Marathon's Logistics & Storage (L&S) organization.

Logistics & Storage is comprised of four primary components:

Logistics & Storage Engineering - L&SE provides engineering design and project management services to TT&R, MPL and Marine.

Terminal, Transport & Rail (TT&R) -TT&R provides terminaling and transportation services in order to distribute crude oil and refined products to retail marketing facilities and other end users.

Marathon Pipe Line Company (MPL) - MPL operates pipeline systems that move crude oil from production fields, other pipeline companies and offshore platforms to MPC refineries, other refineries and other pipeline systems. MPL also operates pipeline systems that move refined products from refineries to product terminals.

Marine - Maintains and operates a large private inland petroleum products barge fleet, which is used to ship crude oil, intermediates and refined products.

Responsibilities:

Project Engineers in L&SE are responsible for the management and successful implementation of a portfolio of diverse projects at our company facilities. Projects can range from small maintenance tasks to new multi-million-dollar developments. Projects typically involve petroleum product storage tanks; terminal facilities; pipeline facilities and our network of pipelines. Project Engineers take their portfolio of projects through the 5 phases of the Marathon Project Management Process (MPMP) including Conceptual, Feasibility, Definition, Implementation and Start-up/Close-out.

Other responsibilities include:

• Development of project scope
• Engineering oversight
• Technical design
• Cost estimating
• Schedule development
• Evaluating and summarizing bid sets
• Construction supervision
• Safety leadership
• Coordination with operations groups
• Project documentation
• Travel ranges from 35-45%.

Qualifications:

• Required Major: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Corrosion Engineering
• Education Level: Bachelor's degree
• Spring or Summer 2022 Graduate
• Strong academic performance
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Many projects will require travel to construction sites, primarily in the eastern U.S.; therefore, a valid driver's license is required.
• Military experience a plus
• Concurrent enrollment in a degree seeking program
