What You Will Do

Ascension Providence Hospital Family Medicine Residency program is looking for a Faculty Physician for our residency program. 

 

Position Highlights:

• Provide medical services to patients and teach residents
• Part of a community teaching hospital in Southfield, Michigan
• Affiliated with Michigan State University 
• Long established program with Osteopathic Recognition, training 27 residents over a three year cycle 

Responsibilities: 

• Supervise residents both in an inpatient and outpatient setting
• Inpatient coverage 4-6 weeks per year at Ascension Providence Hospital, Southfield Campus
• Faculty clinical time is split between seeing their own patient and precepting
• Serve as an advisor to residents
• Provide lectures on various topics throughout the year
• Precept medical students from MSU-CHM, MSU-COM and AUC
• Opportunity for obstetric care (OB) with additional compensation package

What You Will Need

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

 

Required Credential(s) Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date

Preferred Credential(s) BC in Family Medicine

Experience and interest in teaching residents

 

Education Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
