SUMMARY:
Provide cashier services, including cashing checks, preparing fills and jackpots, checking banks out and back in, adding money to the safe, preparing deposits, counting and bundling cash, and balancing the bank.
Provide the best guest and team member service
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides cashier services, including cashing checks, preparing fills and jackpots, checking banks out and back in, adding money to the safe, preparing deposits, counting and bundling cash, and balancing the bank.
Receives, secures, handles, counts and reconciles, and distributes large sums of money accurately and promptly.
Operates various machines in order to count and wrap coins and cash money.
Performs responsibilities in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act. Completes requires casino forms for slot jackpot fill slips, and following set procedures for re-filling assigned lockers.
Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of casino operations at all times.
Complies with established security policies and procedures.
Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty cheerfully, satisfactorily and in a timely manner. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate or equivalent; three-to-six month'srelated experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Able to read, comprehend, and interpret simple instructions, correspondence, memos, and documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and procedures and maintenance instructions.
Able to write routine simple correspondence.
Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and Employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in small units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Able to apply common sense, patience and understanding while carrying out detailed written and/or oral instructions.
Able to deal with and present problem-solving ideas that involves concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Colorado Gaming License is required.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Strong guestservice skills and the ability to ask questions and apply deductive reasoning
and listening skills are essential.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Using and viewing a computer screen on a daily basis is mandatory.

Must also be able to psychologically handle the concept of persons occupying an establishment for the purpose of gambling, drinking, eating and smoking for long periods of time.
