Purpose of Job:
This position is responsible for over-seeing the packaging area. Responsible for assuring GMP and SOP guidelines are followed by all packaging employees, as well as ensuring quality guidelines and timelines are met.
Key Roles/Responsibilities:
- Ensure all employees abide by the safety regulations.
- Works together with internal customers to continuously improve plan productivity and effectiveness.
- Monitor packaging team/line to assure maximum efficiency and output.
- Responsible for being a leadership resource to team members, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support and advice.
- Responsible for knowing proper procedures for team to follow and ensuring that they comply.
- Encourage team effort and supportive attitudes between workers.
- Responsible for setting high standards to reach production goals, ensuring that higher quantities produced do not compromise quality.
- Quality Control Analysis: Online random sampling inspection and remove defective products and packaging material.
- Solving Problems –Participation in root-cause analysis, problem solving meetings.
- Attend & coordinate CANDO meetings.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities including Kaizen, 5 S, One Point lesson activities.
- Analyzing Data or Information –Plotting, analyzing control charts & identify, implement action if process is out of control.
- Documenting/Recording Information - Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
- Training and Teaching Others - Identifying the educational needs of others, developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing others.
- Equipment Maintenance - Identifying and correcting minor equipment issues.
- Troubleshooting -- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must have line leader/team lead experience.
- Experience in operating filling and packaging equipment.
Essential Experience:
- High school diploma.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a pharmaceutical packaging environment, preferably with liquid filling equipment
- Must have line leader/team lead experience.
- Experience in operating filling and packaging equipment.
- Ability to motivate people and emulate a positive safe working behavior at all times.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills are needed.
- Maintains staffing levels to efficiently run the operation.
- Continuously seeks opportunities to improve safety, quality and performance.
- The ability to multi- task in a fast paced, high pressure environment is essential
- Ability to investigate problems, identify root cause.
- Knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and MHRA requirements.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00 per hour
