Food Packaging Associate

Location: Three Bakers, Moscow, PA
Position: Food Packaging Associate
Reports To: Packaging Supervisor
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Hours: 10 hour shifts 6:00am - 4:00pm 

Job Summary:
The Packing Room Associate is responsible for operating within a fast-paced bread packaging line, ensuring products are sliced, wrapped, labeled, boxed, and palletized accurately and efficiently. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to meet hourly production quotas, and comfort working around moving machinery in a team-based production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load bread into slicer machine and monitor slicing accuracy.
  • Transfer sliced bread into trays on a moving assembly line.
  • Monitor flow packer to ensure proper wrapping and sealing.
  • Inspect products for defects (ripped bags, improper seals, misprints).
  • Verify ink jet coding and labeling accuracy before boxing.
  • Monitor metal detection and weight check stations for compliance.
  • Operate box maker equipment and assemble finished cases.
  • Build, wrap, and stage pallets for shipment.
  • Use manual pallet jack to transport finished pallets.
  • Accurately document hourly case and pallet counts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and follow all safety and food safety (GMP) standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with labeling and product accuracy.
  • Ability to meet hourly production quotas.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic math skills for tracking case and pallet counts.
