Location: Markesan, WI

Available Shifts:

  • 5am-3pm, Monday - Thursday
  • 3pm-1am, Monday - Thursday

Compensation: $22-$25 per hour (plus premium for 2nd and weekend shifts)

This role is ideal for someone who can confidently operate packaging equipment while also stepping in to perform basic maintenance and support bulk load-out activities.

What You’ll Do

As a Packaging Operator/Mechanic, you’ll serve as a key technical resource on the shift. Responsibilities include:

  • Operating and monitoring packaging and bulk load-out equipment to keep production running smoothly
  • Performing basic mechanical troubleshooting, adjustments, and preventive maintenance on pack line equipment
  • Supporting bulk load-out and warehouse activities, including forklift operation and loading/unloading shipments
  • Identifying and resolving equipment or process issues before they impact production
  • Completing quality checks, sample preparation, and required production paperwork
  • Entering shipment and production data accurately in internal systems
  • Performing deep cleaning and sanitation between production runs
  • Collaborating with maintenance and operations teams to improve reliability and efficiency
  • Continuing to grow your technical skills through ongoing training and development
What We’re Looking For
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (technical or mechanical training strongly preferred)
  • Prior manufacturing experience, ideally in a food-safe or regulated environment
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment or perform basic maintenance tasks
  • Forklift experience required (or willingness to certify quickly)
  • Comfortable working independently and serving as a go-to operator on the shift
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs, climb ladders, and work in hot, cold, or dusty conditions
