Job Description
NW Lift Truck Service is excited to be seeking a person for a full-time position as a Mobile Forklift Service Technician for the Portland area. We are a fast pace, stable company that has prided ourselves on quality relationships with our employees and customers. NW Lift Truck Service has been in business for over 35 years and provides a wide range of services on forklifts and other heavy equipment. In addition, we have a full rental fleet of forklifts scissor lift, and tele-handlers to better serve our customers.

Job Summary:
- We are seeking individuals that have 5 or more years' experience as a heavy equipment mechanic and or forklift mechanic.
- As a Mobile Forklift Service Technician, it requires the highest level of customer service and industry knowledge.
- It is also required of the position to have great working knowledge of heavy equipment. Some examples of the brands we work on are: Tailift, Hyster, Crown, Yale, Clark, Doosan, Toyota, Genie, JLG, Platform Lifts, Arial Lift, Order Selectors.
- As a Mobile Forklift Service Technician, you will be given a list of accounts to manage. You would be dispatched from our home office in Portland to the customer location.
- Must have your own tools and toolbox or equivalent tool storage.
- You must be able to pass a drug test and background check and have a clean driving record. (minimal and minor infractions excepted).
Job Knowledge we are seeking:
- Advanced Mechanical knowledge of Gas, Propane, and Diesel engines.
- Great working knowledge of Hydraulic systems.
- Able to repair and or rebuild Hydraulic cylinders.
- Good working knowledge of electrical forklift, pallet jacks and other similar styled equipment.
- The ability to read and understand complex electrical diagnostic schematics.
- Fully understand complex electrical systems on forklift and similar equipment that are 12, 24, 36, or 48 volts.
- The ability to use and understand complex troubleshooting software to better diagnose error codes and engine codes read through communication ports (i.e., OBD-ll ports and similar).
- Strong attention to detail, physical strength, customer service skills and problem-solving skills.
