Job Description

Adelphi is seeking an off-site physician to provide on-call services to inmates at a correctional facility in Fairfax, VA. The ideal physician will be available twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week for any consults and emergencies as needed.

Requirements:
• Active VA license
• BE/BC
• BLS and ACLS
• DEA-X Waiver

Responsibilities:
• Provide emergency health care and medical care services to all inmates
• Provide addiction medicine consultation and specifically around Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
• Coordinate care and admission of inmates to hospitals when need be
• Consult with prescribers engaged in delivering MAT
