Job Description

Sportsheets is looking for a Product Developer to join our team! This job’s purpose is to act as the facilitator between Creative and our vendors in the creation of new products. The Product Developer reports directly to the Product Development Manager. The primary duties and responsibilities of the Product Developer include, but are not limited to the following:

Vendor coordination on new products: working with vendors to communicate and explain the product specification package for the first sample creation
Sample Management: work with Creative on first, second and final samples from vendors for changes/approval, and adherence to spec; QC all samples upon arrival
Product Cost Direction: Work with Creative and Vendor to reach target product costs and quality guidelines; getting material alternatives to reduce costs to meet pricing needs
Negotiate with multiple vendors for best cost, communicate with vendors for clarity and reduction of error
Request specific samples per Creative (and private label) and review within 2 weeks of receipt; reduce unnecessary sampling and shipping costs of vendors sending samples not inline with Product Road Map
Supporting manufacturing and design activities by developing prototypes for products in development.
Consulting market research materials and sales data to ensure that products are viable and competitive.
Submit proposals and designs for evaluation by management before moving to the next stage.
Create Product Tech Packs and specification sheets when required
Work with Creative and Production Operations Manager on timeline and lead time for launches

Compensation: DOE $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 Annually
Location: Candidate must be able to work On-Site Monday-Froday 7:30am-4pm at our Cerritos office.
